Children

When we feel emotions as adults, we are often able to use our words to express to others how we feel. For children, they are usually not able to do this which leads to frustration, sadness, and anxiety. Many times, children might express those emotions using different behaviors. During therapy at Nurturing Nature, the child is given the opportunity to express these difficult emotions in different ways depending on their needs. These methods may include the use of toys, expressive arts, board games, sand tray and books to symbolically express unconscious thoughts, experiences and emotions.

Play is a natural means of communication for children. Children use therapy to help deal with a variety of issues like aggressive behavior, anxiety, adoption, divorce, or depression.
